My Word….SATC 2 Week is Here
Tuesday, May 25th, 2010Last time, I went to the midnight showing. Sleep be damned, I just had to know what happened with Carrie and Big. I had to be among the first, and I couldn’t risk finding out through some spoiler online or from overhearing. Admittedly, watching a 3 hour + movie at midnight made for a VERY long workday the Friday after.
Remembering this, and because I kind of don’t think the sequel is going to be all that good, I’ve opted out on the midnight show this time around. That said, I’m going straight from work to the theater Thursday night, which basically means I just spent 15 minutes reading and watching spoiler clips online after last night’s NYC premiere.
If you’ve seen the trailer, then this clip is not a spoiler….you already know that Aidan makes an appearance in some capacity within the movie. I have a lot of thoughts about this: how dastardly ironic it would be if Aidan and Carrie had an affair after she cheated on him with Big, how I know that will never happen because of who Aidan is, and how much I wish it would anyway (cheating in this case gets a free pass). But, isn’t Aidan married now too? And doesn’t he have a kid he calls “Tater”?
Regardless, AIDAN is in the movie and watching this clip made my poor sad hopeless romantic heart beat faster. What can I say? I always did like Aidan the best.
Sigh. I had to watch that no less than FIVE times before I heard a word they exchanged. And, if it were up to me, the t-shirt she’s wearing would say “J’ADORE AIDAN” rather than “J’ADORE DIOR.”
Hmmm….maybe the midnight showing wouldn’t be that bad. Hook, line, and sinker.
