Funny story: I cut my hair over the Thanksgiving holiday. I say “funny” because I look like I am now in the witness protection program. I cut over SEVEN INCHES(!) of my hair off and dyed it FIVE SHADES(!) darker. Although I CHOSE IT(!), I can neither confirm nor deny that I have buyer’s remorse. [...]

It’s that time of year again, and like last year’s Turkey Craft Extravaganza, Graphic Designer Friend and I have themed our turkeys after Guilty Pleasures: hers still being Twilight and mine now being The Rachel Zoe Project (which seriously needs to be picked up for a third season). Hope you enjoy the crafty results of our [...]

I don’t worship at Our Lady of Twilight Cathedral. I don’t pay homage to the sparkly skin of Edward Cullen. I’ve never read the books and, until last night when I conducted some “research,” I hadn’t seen the movie either. So I haven’t really understood the mass hysteria of this seemingly endless vampire trend- the movies [...]

After the educational PowerPoint presentations, the cartoon-laden flyers on “How to Wash Your Hands,” and the strategically placed hand sanitizers and Lysol disinfectant spray cans; it’s official. The company-wide (and inexplicably cross-country) email announcement from HR went out today. Swine Flu, ahem, I mean H1N1, has arrived within these hallowed halls. Quick everyone, RUN FOR [...]

I got my first Christmas card….
After dinner one night last week, my boyfriend and I popped into the Walgreen’s. While he hunted down shaving cream, garbage bags, and Zone bars, I wandered into the Christmas aisle and it was….mag-fucking-nificent. Seriously, you people at Walgreen’s- nicely done. Overwrought and sparkly and garish, it was just what [...]

It may sound like that tired old adage, but I have to ask- exactly what does a man serve to gain by getting married anymore when he seemingly can get as much, if not more, by not? Or, alternatively as my friend Emo says, “why lock it down when you can get The Ill-Freaky Na-Na [...]

I mostly blame that show, “I Didn’t Know I Was Pregnant.” Have you seen it? Who am I kidding, of course you have. That thing is like a freaking car crash. You don’t want to watch it, but you do with that perma-frown of disgust on your face. In fact, if you’re anything like me, [...]
