Commuter Strikes Again
Wednesday, January 28th, 2009The Commuter is back.
It was just my luck to see him on the train and the bus home last night. Coughing and hacking away, he was the least of my worries. I thought he’d leave me alone too, but then that would make too much sense.
Instead of allowing me to simply co-exist on the same commute as him, he ripped a page out of his book and wrote me a note, flinging it onto my lap as he got off the bus. What. The. Fuck.
Hi Nic!
You’re resting now, so I won’t wake you. I hope you feel better.
The Commuter [AKA Psycho Stalker]
Now, I know there’s nothing wrong with that note in theory, but it is wrong. His actions last fall were completely abnormal and the kid seems to somehow still think we’re “buddies” or “something else” even though I told him months ago that it was awkward and I’m not interested.
The whole thing makes me so fucking irate. Why don’t people leave me alone when I tell them to? What is it about me that makes them think, “um, well, she’s saying that, but I don’t believe her“?
He better be careful or I’ll cough on him.

Holy hell. I’m creeped out FOR you.
what a creepy mccreeperson. keep your distance!
and feel better lady!
I think it’s time to write him a note back, reading…
“come near me again, and i’ll scream rape and mace you.”
He’s SO creepy! I just can’t figure it out. I mean, there’s got to be something not right there. It’s just not normal. He’s completely delusional.
And the survey says: creep! I had an old councillor guy recently who decided to “help” me make my train connection and ask me if I was staying in a hotel overnight which was a little worrying, but at least he isn’t a regular feature of my commute. I’d get my largest, most intimidating male friend to accompany me for a couple of mornings until the weirdo took the hint.
[...] wakefulness at 7:52 am by nic I’m on the bus. And guess who just got on after me? No, not that one. My psycho-bitch ex-roommate from college. See her? She’s that one there. No, not that one. [...]
