Bring It, 1998

So my 10 year high school reunion is a mere two weeks from Saturday and I need to get serious about the dress. I’m thinking something hot- not “cute,” something that showcases- nay, celebrates- the fact that I have not yet produced any children. I want a dress that takes my former classmates out to the bike racks and slaps them across the face with the realization I’m the same dress size as a decade earlier.

Normally, I’d go straight to BCBG for one of their “cute” strapless A-line confections that I adore. Instead, I’ve been scouring the web for something sleek, but classy (at this point, I’m even open to a deflated bubble skirt, and that’s saying a lot). Here are some of the candidates:

I like that one too and it’s actually pretty cheap! I’m kinda partial to the asymmetrical ones though.

Don’t go bubble. Don’t do it. The third grabbed me as super-classy. The fourth is way too Romy and Michelle. I like the asymmetrical ones, too. They say hot and hip.
P.S. You can have children and get your size 2 bod back. And god do people hate you for it.

I’d go with number one, it’s such a nice shape. If you think it’s a little conservative then 2 or 7. I think 2 you really need to try on and see what it looks like with a few good accessories to tell but it’s one of those dresses with potential if you bling it up a little. But now I’m looking at 7 again thinking it may actually be the hottest… Nic, this is too hard a task to set us! Let us know what you choose

It’s from Nordstrom: As U Wish Chiffon Bubble Dress (Juniors). I found it online, so I’m not sure if it’s in stores. Only $65!! How awesome is that?!
