Thursday, January 17th, 2008It’s time to talk Runway. This season has been a bit blah with a boring cast and commercialized challenges, but last night’s episode FINALLY forced them into high fashion. Designing avant-garde looks; I love, love, loved what Christian and Chris came up with:
Glorious! Reminiscent of looks designed by Olivier Theyskens for Nina Ricci and John Galliano for Christian Dior for Fall ’07, it was nevertheless amazing.
I also appreciated what Victorya and Jillian designed, although I’m glad they didn’t win the challenge:
Very Jean Paul Gaultier.
For the finale, I’m really hoping to see a collection from Rami with all his beautiful draping, Christian and his skillful creativity, and Victorya’s lady-like elegance…with Christian winning because he’s the most innovative and talented and he’s only 21!
ooh la la! I’d heard of him multiple times before, the guy must sh*t fashion, he’s so damn talented especially for being so young.
Yeah, I’m with you on Christian. Even though he is a bit over the top on his opinions he seems very calm and confident in his abilities. I was also glad Jillian and Victoria pulled it off.
I was very disapointed that Kit got asked to leave instead of Ricky. Le sigh – another week of his crying…..
I know what you mean! He’s ALWAYS crying about who only knows what. It’s ridiculous. I don’t know how he’s managed to get this far. I’d say it’s his week to go, but the preview for the next episode made it look like Jillian falls to pieces. I don’t think she can handle the pressure, but I still want dumb Ricky to go. His designs are always so boring or cheap or ugly.
