That’s right. I’m going all controversial on your ass this morning.

According to the Chicago Tribune, “A portion of the Tri-State Tollway in the south suburbs was shut down for several hours this morning after black ice caused a string of accidents, including one that sent a state trooper to the hospital with a head injury, police said.”

Oh, sure…blame the “black” ice. What if the ice wasn’t on “blacktop”? What if it was on concrete? What if it was really “white” or “grey” or “clear” ice? I mean, why don’t they just call it “cracker” ice while they’re at it?

I’m just sayin’….
