You People Are Crazy
Friday, October 19th, 2007If you’re a regular reader, you’re aware it’s been a bit of a tough week around here. So I have to say, I’d been looking forward to 30 Rock and The Office a bit more than usual. Ultimately though, I came away feeling “meh” about both. I don’t know, maybe I’m just having a serious case of the break-up blues.
So on a lark, and as it is before 10 a.m. and I’m already incredibly bored at work today, I went to Trip Advisor and found this. (I realize I am also crazy for finding- nay, looking for it.)
That helps. And also, Sweetest Day is dumb.
i’m pretty sure sweetest day is just another attempt to make recently single people feel worse, but on this side of christmas, as opposed to valentines day on the other.

I have no idea what the ’sweetest day’ is, but unless it means giving away treats and candy to single people, I’m pretty sure I’m not going to be a fan. I can tell. Just by the name.
And you are not alone. I also looked up Shrute farms on tripadvisor.com. I wonder how many extra hits they got from all us Office fans?
Sweetest Day is a “Hallmark Holiday” invented to increase retail sales going into the official holiday season. It is very much like Valentine’s Day, only it’s dumber. Much dumber. In fact, if Valentine’s Day and Sweetest Day were in it together, it would be called “Dumb and Dumber.” That’s how dumb it is.
