Thank you for not making this…nasty. For this dignity.

Thank you for your caring and your kindness. I hoped for more, but that is selfish.

Thank you for saying that you love me. I struggle with that, you know. But I want to believe you, and will try to let your words in, let them settle in my heart.

Thank you for giving me this chance to look after myself. I wish you could be here with me, but know I will be better for it and hope to grow with grace.

Thank you for the countless moments that kept us. In the coming days and weeks, they will flicker in memory.
